1. What this licence covers

   This licence applies to the software "Zeff" in its alpha and beta versions, meaning every version numbered below 1.0.0
   (for example 0.1.0 or 0.9.3), in any form you received it: the program, its source code where it was made available to
   you, and its documentation (together, "the Software").

2. What you may do

   While the Software is in alpha or beta, you may download, install and use the Software free of charge, for personal,
   non-commercial purposes only, on computers you own or control.

   "Personal, non-commercial purposes" means your own private life and your own private projects, for which you receive no
   payment and which do not serve a business, an employer, a client, a public authority or any other organisation.

3. What you may not do

   You may not, without a separate written licence from the copyright holder:

   a) use the Software for any commercial purpose, including for paid work, as an employee or freelancer, inside a company,
      public authority or other organisation, or to provide services to others;
   b) sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, publish or otherwise make the Software or copies of it available to others,
      whether or not for payment (a link to the official download page is fine);
   c) modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software, except to the extent you need to for your own
      permitted personal use, and never to distribute them;
   d) remove or change any copyright notice, this licence, or any notice that the Software is an alpha or beta version;
   e) use the Software to build a product or service that competes with it.

4. End of the free alpha and beta use

   The rights in section 2 apply to alpha and beta versions only. They do not apply to version 1.0.0 or any later version;
   those versions are offered under a separate, paid licence. The copyright holder may end the free alpha or beta use at any
   time by publishing a notice on the official website; you may then keep using the copy you already have under these terms
   until version 1.0.0 is released, but you will not be entitled to updates.

   Your rights under this licence end automatically if you break any of its terms.

5. Your data

   The Software stores your data on your own computer. This licence gives the copyright holder no rights to your data.

6. No warranty

   Alpha and beta versions are unfinished. They may contain errors, lose data or change without notice; keep backups. The
   Software is provided free of charge and "as is", without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a
   particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Limitation of liability

   To the extent permitted by applicable law, the copyright holder is not liable for any damage arising from the use of or the
   inability to use the Software, including loss of data, except for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and
   except for injury to life, body or health. Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz)
   remains unaffected.

9. Law

   This licence is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in
   effect.
